IN VITRO FERTILIZATION

In vitro fertilization can bring a new life in your life.

Adore the emotions of being a mother, we are beside you assisting you to be a mother.

A few words on IVF:

In vitro fertilisation (IVF) is a process by which an egg is fertilised by sperm outside the body: in vitro ("in glass"). The process involves monitoring and stimulating a woman's ovulatory process, removing ovum or ova (egg or eggs) from the woman's ovaries and letting sperm fertilise them in a fluid medium in a laboratory. The fertilised egg (zygote) is cultured for 2–6 days in a growth medium and is then implanted in the same or another woman's uterus, with the intention of establishing a successful pregnancy.

IVF techniques can be employed in a variety of situations. It is a method of assisted reproductive technology for treatment of infertility. IVF techniques are also employed in gestational surrogacy, in which case the fertilised egg is implanted into a surrogate's uterus, and the resulting child is genetically unrelated to the surrogate. In some cases, donated eggs or sperms may be used. Some countries ban or otherwise regulate the availability of IVF treatment, giving raise to fertility tourism. Restrictions on availability of IVF include to single females, to lesbians and to surrogacy arrangements.

Message from Dr. Saha Sikdar:

Generally people associate a sort of ‘social stigma’ with the idea of test tube baby. Women, unable to conceive due to various medical reasons unknown to the common people corner and isolate themselves. At Sharanya, we are here with a mission to remove this social stigma associated with such test tube baby and introduce our future mothers to the new technologically evolved way of IVF and make them aware of its possibilities.
