Established in 2009, with the blessing of Shri Pranab Mukherjee, the Honorable President of India, Sharanya Multispeciality Hospital tries to fulfill the dream of Burdwan people to receive world class treatment at their doorstep. For the very first time, it has brought down all facilities to manage every sort of health hazards, either in emergency or to tackle chronic diseases, for which every strata of the population had to rush to Kolkata.

With this target, we have brought into Burdwan, a state of the art facility starting from Trauma care, Neurosurgery, to world class NICU facilities for the extreme premature new born. Our latest achievement has been building the IVF facilities to bring smile to the face of those parents who are not blessed to have a child by natural means of conception.

We aim in the near future to bring to Burdwan a set up for interventional cardiology, something which Burdwan cries for help every time a member of their family suffers from cardiological events.

Our revered ex-president Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam had once said that a true dream is not one that is seen during sleep; instead it is the one that awakens one from his slumber. Dr. Soumendra Saha Sikdar indeed had such a dream, not for himself, but for the community that spreads beyond the reaches of Barddhaman and thus emerged Sharanya Multispeciality Hospital on NH6, literally out of a scratch! Initially the focus was on Mother & Child Health, as Dr. Saha Sikdar himself is a decorated Obstetrician & Gynaecologist. But soon, he realized that he needs a wider outlook to serve the patients in a comprehensive & holistic manner.

A leader in the truest of senses, it did not take him much time thereafter to build a team of consultants from various disciplines and present the people of Barddhaman with their first true Multispeciality Hospital, delivering healthcare conforming to the global standards. He is the pioneer of infertility management in this region and has the highest number of successful IVF cases to his credit.
